SKUNK3DWORKS Cheek Riser Installation Instructions

When you receive your Cheek Riser, remove your CCS stock from the buffer tube. Installing the Cheek Riser is easiest when the stock is removed. 

  1. Slide the Cheek Riser on from the front of the stock
  2. Adjust the Cheek Riser to preffered position making sure the ribbing on the Riser is engaged with the ribbing on the underside of the Cheekweld of the stock. 
  3. Once you've positioned the Cheek Riser to the prefferred position and the ribbing is engaged, make sure the square nut is in position.
  4. It is recommended to apply a small drop of Loctite to the end threads of the bolt.
  5. Insert the crossbolt and engage the square nut with the bolt threads. 
  6. Tighten the crossbolt until the cheek riser only until there is no longer any latteral play. 
  7. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLT
  8. Only tighten the crossbolt until it is no longer moving latteraly, and go a quarter turn tighter. 
  9. If you overtighten the bolt, it can cause deformation or breakage on the square nut side of the riser.
